FAQS

Here are answers to some common questions.
  • What are your business hours?

We are open for business from 8 am to 7 pm Mon - Fri and Saturday from 10 am to 4 pm. Feel free to call us and talk directly to the builder.

  • How long it takes to build a new home?

We estimate our building time frames to be at 26 weeks for a single storey home and 30 weeks for a double-storey property. Before we begin construction, you will need to allow time for council approval processes and time for you to finalise any needed bank loans.

  • Do you offer duplexes or dual-occupancy home builds?

Absolutely, we have many innovative designs for duplexes and dual-occupancy homes. We have a wealth of experience designing and building these types of properties so you can trust that we know what we’re doing.

  • How much does a quote or tender cost?

We offer all quotes completely free of charge and with no obligations. We even offer up to two revisions of the quote so you can see what changes can be made and what impact that may have on cost.

  • Why do builders quotes vary so much?

Builders quotes often vary based on the builder's experience in the type of work you’re requesting. If it’s easy for the builder and they already have equipment or materials for the project they’ll quote you less. For builders with less experience in the industry jobs are harder, take longer and they often have to source new equipment so they’ll quote more. Sometimes varied quotes are simply based on how much work the builder has going at that time - if they already have a lot of work they’re likely to quote more than a business that needs it. Having a pre-prepared specification will help ensure that builders are all quoting on the exact same thing, rather than the quotes actually being for different materials or details of the build.

  • What is the process following the initial meeting?

After the initial meeting, we’ll discuss ideas and budget then draw up a quote for you. Two quote revisions are available following that. We’ll work with you to decide what design suits your needs best and begin the planning approval process. Following approval, the scope of the work, materials and finishes will be worked out so that we know the price is fixed. Construction and project management will begin and in a matter of weeks it will be completed and handed over to you! Seems simple? Give us a call and let's start an obligation free chat!

  • How do I find out if my vision to build a custom designed home is possible or not?

We offer obligation free chats during which we will discuss your vision and design preferences. We can then advise you how likely council approval is and if it fits with State regulations. We’ll also advise if your budget is realistic and how long the construction will take.

  • Is there a follow-up after the handover of the completed build?

We’re always striving to ensure you’re completely satisfied throughout the entire process - from beginning to end. That’s why our maintenance team will always check in with you around 3 months after handover to see if there are any follow up matters you need to be addressed. It’s how we know that you’re happy and loving your completed project!

  • What kind of work are you specialised in?

We specialise in custom-designed homes, knockdown and rebuild,  home renovations, extensions, kitchen, bathroom and living room remodelling, indoor/outdoor areas and even heritage home renovations. We can manage entire projects from designs, planning, approvals, construction through to completion and handover.

  • Which area of Sydney do you work?

We cover suburbs all over Sydney and we’ll come to you to see your property and discuss what you’d like to have done when providing you with a quote.

  • Do I have to get council approval for renovation works?

We will help you with council approvals and ensure all plans are in line with State regulations.

  • How do I select the right builder?

We believe that choosing the right builder for you should be based on the following qualities - inclusive quotes, experience, strong rapport, insured and understanding of approvals/certification processes for your area. Finding those qualities in a team of tradesmen would indicate that you’ve got the right people for the job.
